JEE Mains is one of the top level examinations of India. Conducted by CBSE is a 2 stage examination. The interested candidates can get admissions in UG engineering/architecture courses in NITs, IITs, and other institutions through JEE Mains examination. The qualified candidates of JEE Mains will be eligible to take the up JEE Advanced examination. Notification

# The examination of JEE (Main) - 2018 in pen-paper based (offline) mode will be conducted on 08th April 2018.

1.     There shall be no weightage for the 12th class marks in calculating the ranks in the JEE (Main) examination,

2.     For the candidates to qualify for the admission in the IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE (Advanced)/JEE(Main) ranks, they should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST students the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.

• The student has to fill JEE Main form via Online Mode only.
• Filling of Application form starts from the First week of December 2017
• To apply for JEE Main, students should have Aadhaar Number/Aadhaar Enrollment Number/Registration Number which will be provided by facilitation center.
• Candidates also have to upload scanned images of photograph and signature in prescribed specifications.

Application Fee:

The fee for filling JEE Main 2018 Application form is different for different categories, and also different genders.

1. Payment of fee can be done either through credit card/debit card or e-challan.
2. Candidates opting e-challan are required to make the payment in Syndicate/ICICI/HDFC/Canara Bank in cash.

JEE Main 2018 Eligibility

Age Criteria 

1. Date of Birth: Candidates those born on or after 1st October 1993 are eligible for writing the JEE Main examination.
2. Relaxation: 5 years relaxation shall be provided in the upper age limit for SC/ST & PWD candidates (i.e. DOB falls on or after 1st October 1988).
3. Date of Birth will be considered as mentioned in secondary education board certificate.

JEE Main 2018 Pattern

·         Exam Duration: The time duration will be 3 hours.

·         Marking Scheme: Candidates will be provided with +4 marks for each correct answer.

·         Negative Marking: In case of the wrong answer, one mark will be deducted.
